Our Summer Camps provide life changing experiences and foundational growth for Youth 2nd-12th grade. We want YOU to be a part of what God is doing here!

 

Positions

Staff Counselors -

These staff share the Good News of Jesus through intentional mentorship in a cabin setting. Counselors are responsible for general supervision, leading daily devotions, and connecting with their campers while creating a loving environment for all.

 

Adventure Staff -

These staff share the Good News of Jesus with our campers through experiential learning. Loucon offers many different activities and our Adventure Staff serve primarily as facilitators. They also provide support through several daily duties and behind the scenes work.

 

Media Staff -

Capture the moments and memories of summer camp. Media staff helps families experience what their campers are doing and they help us promote Loucon.

 

Student Healthcare Assistant -

Assist the Camp Nurse in distributing medicines, caring for minor injuries, and looking out for the wellbeing of our campers.

 

Maintenance -

Help our pro staff care for our grounds. Duties include mowing, trimming, vehicle maintenance, and minor cleaning. Reports to Loucon Maintenance Director.

 

Staff in Training S.I.T. (Ages 16-17) -

Volunteer at camp by shadowing seasonal staff. Learn about how Loucon operates while exploring the possibility of being a future staff member.

Dates 

Interview Weekend: February 22nd-24th

Lifeguard Training: May 13th-16th

Staff Training: May 17th-30th

Weekly Summer Camps (Sunday- Friday): June 1st - August 1st

 

Salary

Staffers can earn up to $3,500 for 12 weeks of work, including training. 

 

Time Off

All Staff are off duty from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon each weekend. Applicants can request for additional time off prior to the Summer as needed and at the discretion of Loucon’s Camp Director. 

 

Perks

Housing is included for the entire Summer. Free meals are provided during all working hours and are delicious. Summer Staff can also enjoy discounts on family members attending camp this year and on our stellar Loucon merch. 

 

Internships and Practicum Hours

Loucon is willing to work with applicants who would like to also use this summer to get ahead in their various fields of study. We work best with programs that emphasize Christian Ministry, Education, and Recreational Leadership but also provide valuable experience in a wide range of career paths.
